iPhone iMessage Suggested Contact Order

Why when I type a name in iMessage does it default to iPhone number for one contact and to an email address for another contact?

It’s not picking up most recently used or picking up anything set in favourites option in contacts app.


Any ideas?

It’s not picking up most recently used or picking up anything set in favourites option in contacts app.


Any ideas?

It’s supposed to learn over time which you use more often and use that as the first option. Not sure how long this learning takes.
