I thought I heard that under iOS 8 that iMessages now "sync" between devices that share the same iCloud ID.
To make it clear (and I would rather not discuss why I do this) we have an old iOS device that we keep for the single purpose of monitoring incoming iMessages to a family member's iOS device by having it share the same family member's iCloud ID. I believe that under iOS 7 if that person deleted an iMessage on their device it would *not* be deleted from our "mirror" device. Under iOS 8 would the messages now delete from our mirror device since I think they now sync? Is there a way to prevent this so we can monitor the iMessages without worrying they are being deleted before we can see them?
Thanks, sorry to sound creepy but it is important.
