Can someone verify this .... am I correct in that the "unsend an iMessage" feature that was rumored to be a part of iOS 14 never did come to fruition?.

Is the feature there and I'm just not seeing it, or did it really get scrapped?

Which part of the Apple website that stated this?

I recall seeing it on the iOS 14 tab, where they talk about all the upcoming new features (Apple.com>iPhone>iOS14).

They had at least a short paragraph about it.

Not sure there's really anything indicating that something like that is coming.

Well, it was a thing at some point along the way, and it obviously never materialized or they scrapped the idea.

I don’t recall seeing anything like that on Apple’s site, note was it reported on. I think it was all wishful thinking made into’ rumours’

Wow .... now I'm starting to think maybe it wasn't on Apple's webiste. Maybe it was talked about by a YouTuber. I saw it somewhere, I swear!

It has NEVER been on the Apple website.
MacRumors has written about it as a "leaked feature" back in June https://www.macrumors.com/guide/ios-14-leaked-retract-messages/
One must realize that companies are always working on tons of features that will never be released. So leaked codes in June suggesting that it will come means nothing.
Ahh there we go, was rumoured prior to iOS 14's WWDC reveal, but not official or reported on as part of iOS 14 being revealed at WWDC onwards
