iMessage Window Not Popping Up

Is anyone having issues with iMessage after upgrading to mountain lion? For some reason, when I open iMessage I can't do anything. Send a message, check my messages or whatever.

My Mac registers that iMessage is open but I don't see any windows.
 
iMessage has been 100% more reliable for me since Mountain Lion came out than when it was still beta.
 
Mine for some reason doesn't show a buddies list. I have made it so Facebook Chat uses it and when I click Messages I'm only able to see the create new message window.

I have to do a Command+1 to open the list, is that normal? As I didn't use it beta.

Yes, that is normal behaviour. If you click on the menu bar icon a list of online contacts appears on there at the bottom.
