I've been experiencing this annoyance where someone will send me either a text or iMessage and when the notification pops up on my watch, it shows one or two messages that were received and read way earlier right above the new message as if they're new.

For example: I get a message in the morning saying "Hey" and "what up?"

for the rest of the day, whenever i get a notification from that specific person on my watch, the "hey" and "whats up?" will not go away and the new messages will just show below it. When I open the messages app, everything is fine and in the right chronological order. It's like the texts get stuck in the notification alert.

I hope I'm being clear. I can fix it by restarting watch, but it's annoying to have to restart every day. any ideas on how to clear this without having to restart every time?

Happens to me and my girlfriend. It will go away on its own and then it will come back on its own. I haven't figured out how to get it to fully dismiss.
