I just bought an iMic and I can't tell if the internal soundcard on my ibook outputs sound better or if the imic outputs sound better. What do you guys know?

usb sound is generally not quite as good as dedicated sound, but it depends on the ibooks output, personally i cant stand it, i only play music on my ibook via my airport express.

From griffin's site:

"iMic's audio is superior to most computers' built-in audio because it uses USB for the audio signal. USB isolates the audio signal from the noisy electronics in your computer, giving you higher quality sound when you record, and higher quality sound output for external speakers."

I don't know whether or not to believe them either. Right now the audio does sound better but that may just be my head playing games with me.
