I'm so confused after endless research...I'm looking for a new Macbook Pro for video editing

I have been trying to replace my old 2011 MBP. I really dont like the new keyboards and read about so many issues, and have no need for the touch bar.

I was quite set on getting a 2015 15'' MBP, with 1tb SSD and Radeon dGPU. I bought onen on ebay but it had a problem with the screen so I sent it back.

Now theres one identical that ends tomorrow on ebay. No Apple care, as its rare for these older models to still have it. It will probably go for between £1500 and £1700. You can buy this exact model refurbished from Apple for £2300. I really dont know if its worth £600 more for this, what do you think? I get the 1 year warranty then.

A new MBP with similar specs would cost over £3000, which is so expensive.

Then I have read various issues with the 2015 GPU switching, and there seems to be no real fix for it. Is a dGPU completely necessary for video editing? I was under the impression it was, and the Intel Iris just woudlnt cut it.

Any advice please let me know as I'm running out of time :) And my 2011 macbook is literally falling apart!
