iMovie 06 for free for iLife 08 customers

Very Cool
So those that have a problem with iMovie '08's interface or not working with their older weaker G4 Macs now have nothing to complain about and those with newer Macs can choose to use either one depending on the project and the source material. Excellent.

I agree that this is an EXCELLENT move by apple. That is something that not very many companys would do. Top notch....
However, one little problem that remains... The reason why this proud G4 owner wants iMovie08 is so I can have a hope of taking video off of my canon miniDVD (NOT miniDV) camcorder and put it on my mac. At this point in time I CAN'T do that without going to windows first.
Maybe a utility download for people without Imovie08? That would rock.
