The perennial question for this notorious p.o.s. software: After capturing a long clip from the camera I want to now split that "event" (f$#K Apple) into all the different selected takes before editing them. I know for a fact that you can workaround the limitations of the software by somehow making clips, splitting those clips and then turn them into individual events - but each time I use the program - infrequently - I always forget what that workaround is. It's either something to do with "Split event before selected clip" or "Split clip" but how to get to a point where those effing options are not greyed out seems to be the question. I just need separate events for each take. I cannot work with one long undifferentiated clip because it's just a talking head with no variation in the way each frame thumbnail appears and I simply need that long capture split up into the individual takes. Please help - I'm going insane. Thanks!
