This is really frustrating.

Over the last 2 days I'm finally getting around to importing all my miniDV tapes through iMovie. I've been putting all the tapes into my Sony DCR-TRV38 camcorder, attaching it via firewire, opening iMovie, making sure the slider is set to automatic and clicking import.

The first 4 tapes I've had no issues. I have another 4 tapes or so to import. Starting on the 5th tape, everything started normally, I made sure the slider was set to automatic, I clicked import, it rewound the tape and boom nothing. The blue import screen just says "stopped". When I try and play the tape using the iMovie on-screen controls it won't play. When I try using the touch-screen controls on the camcorder, it won't play either. As soon as I disconnect the firewire cord it plays just fine.

As I write this, I'm importing the tape through Toast 8, but I want to know what's going on with iMovie? Any ideas?
