When you start iMovie it asks if you want to make thumbnails out of the videos in iPhoto. The problem is that it does this to ALL of the videos. Is there a way to select just the videos you want to use instead?

i liked the comment that said 08 is faster, 06 has more control. it seems true. but i'm going back to 06- i knew it well and i could make stuff fast. I've also tried final cut pro and its over my head without some help so for now i'm suck in imovie. but i'm pretty happy there. anyone tried final cut express? easy to use or hard?

well i gave it a try and i'm done. how do I UN-UPGRADE BACK TO 07'?

There is a download for iMovie HD on the apple website, you will have both iMovie 06/HD and 08.
It is free if you have iLife 08. What does that tell you about iMovie 08 ?

'08 is nice for small things. Like if I want to put together a quick video and upload it straight to Youtube. I tried that with some Linerider stuff I made a while ago and it worked great.
