I searched this forum and the web for an answer to this first, but cannot find one. I need space on my HD so I bought a 3TB ext HD. Info on the web say to transfer movies using iMovie rather than Finder. I followed directions: Drag & drop events in the Event Library screen to ext HD. Rather than moving the events, iMovie has copied them to the ext HD. How do I remove them from my MacBook's HD?

Thanks,

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I just don't want to ruin anything. These are all movies of my girl growing up. I don't even see how to delete them using iMovie. I'd rather iMovie moved them rather than copying them to the external hard drive. All the instructions I read on this forum and apple support site explained it like they would be moved and there was no mention deleting them from my MacBook's hard drive. My MacBook is simply out of space.

Thanks!
