iMovie 08 Won't Launch

I just picked up iLife 08 and for some reason iMovie will not launch, it opens the window, the little progress spinner thing, spins half way then it dies!!! I have repaired disk permissions, restarted, deleted prefs, and reinstalled it I have no idea what to do now, would anyone be able to suggest something?

MacBook 2.0Ghz 2Gb DDR (Apple installed when ordered) 80Gb HD, 10.4.10

Deleted the com.apple.iApps.plist and now it seems to work.
