Steve said something about further development in iMovie '08, adding back all the features that were removed and what not. Are we to expect the update anytime soon or in an update to the current version, or will we most likely have to wait until iLife '09 comes out?
 
Most likely 09. Just seems more logical, seeing as 08 has been out for long enough for them to add some stuff. Just use 06 for now.
 
I can't stand iMovie '06, I just want something I can put concept films together in before I make the actual movie in FCE. It just takes so much more time to do the concept and the product film both in FCE.
 
Apple has always updated iLife apps with new features at each iLife update (iLife 06 -> iLife 08). I'd expect to see iLife 09 at WWDC in June.

I'm also one of those iMovie 08 is better than iMovie 06 people. It's just a lot faster and easier to use.
