Hi,
So I just upgraded to a MacBook Pro and while I normally use Final Cut Pro I do occasionally use iMovie to trim up clips and stuff. I still have iMovie '05 because I have a bunch of effect plugins for it, which is great but I have two questions.

Is their a way to get iMovie '05 effect plugins to work with iMovie '09?
Seconds, in the old iMovie each project was a self contained file, however in '09 it does not appear it works this way. Is their a way to keep each project self contained like in the old iMovie?
Thanks!

No to both.

iMovie '08 and '09 do not support plugins and they have moved to the library system, where all your videos are in one place.
