iMovie 09 AVCHD Import Error | Canon HF S11

I just recently purchased a Canon HF S11 camcorder. I shot a bunch of clips in 24p mode. When I try to import on my Mac Pro in iMovie 09, in the import screen, a few clips say Error in red (not importing). The weird thing is, I don't run into any problems importing it on my MacBook Pro.

Both are relatively new machines with plenty of hard drive space. I've tried reinstalling iMovie on the Mac Pro and even removing Perian, but still getting the same errors (on the same clips each time). Somebody HELP!!

I have the same problem, camera is Canon HF100. It used to work on my previous macbook, which had leopard 10.5.8 and after updating to new unibody macbook with 10.6.2 it does not work anymore having the error described in previous message.

I am getting exactly the same problem. Exactly. did you find any solution/explanation?
