iMovie 09 'camcorder archive' with 2 cameras?

First of all thanks to all for this forum, I have found much help here.

I am having issues trying to archive 2 Sony HD cameras (HDR-SR10 and HDR-SR12) to an external drive with Imovie 09. I was able to archive the first camera with no problems. I tested the archive and was able to import into imovie.

I attempted to archive the second camera and Imovie would not detect the camera at all. I have been unable to detect either camera since I archived the first camera.

Any help would be appreciated.
