iMovie 09 effects not applying to some clips

I have edited a clip by slowing it down. Now I want to actually speed it up, or put it back to 100%. However when dragging the slider to 100%, it immediately jumps back to the slowed down position (20%).

I have a transition effect that is 2.9s, however when I edit it and set it to 10s, it reverts back to 2.9s.

Advice would be appreciated on how to solve this.

I'm also having a problem where you add a theme, change the photo's for the theme, click done, and then when playing it back, the photo's have all reverted back to default.

Anyone?

Maybe try deleting the clip from the project, then re-insert it from the library. That clip might have just become corrupted or something.
