I have made my first iMovie and it exports to iDVD just fine. However when I try to export to HD or Large file settings to my desktop it gets about two thirds to completion and gives me an error code 180 (movie length is about 25min). Sometimes it closes the application.

The video was originally shot using a Sony DSC-HX5V P&S set at 1080i and recorded as an .mts file. I used handbrake to convert to .mp4. I thought this might be the problem so I changed settings on the camera to .mp4. I shot new video, and like it should, when I hooked the camera up the new video imported directly into iPhoto.

I took the new footage and created a short video using iMovie (about 9min) and had the same problem, about two thirds into the export error code 180. Yet when I export to iDVD no problem.

I recognize that during the conversion process the final iDVD product is not HD, is this the reason it exports to iDVD just fine? Any ideas as to what is causing the error when I try to export to my desktop?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
