iMovie 09 help?

Hi-
I am trying to burn a clip I made using iMovie onto a DVD. I understand that I need to use iMovie to share the clip file with iDVD then burn it to a DVD.

However, iMovie does not allow me to "share" the clip to iDVD. I have highlighted the clip and can can clearly play it using iMovie but when I click on the "share" icon, there aren't options that I can click (just the options that are in light colors, that are not clickable).

Not sure what I am doing wrong (new to iMovie).

Is your clip in a Project, or are you trying to Share it from the Event Browser? It must be in a Project.

Does iDVD appear in the Share menu, even though it's greyed out, and does your Project consist of mp4 movies? If so, put a jpeg in the Project. That's made iDVD available to me in similar circumstances.
