iMovie 09 jumping all over the place

I have no problem importing video from my flip mino into the Event Library and viewing it. The problem comes when I select pieces of the video and move them into a project. At that point when I try to review the piece of video it jumps all over the place. Just to clarify, the exact same piece of video plays perfectly when run from the event library, but jumps all over the place once it's been selected and moved to a project. I never had this problem prior to imovie 09.

Any ideas how to fix?

FYI I'm running on a Mac Pro with 2 x 2.8 Quad Core Xeons and 10GB of memory.

This is a bug with iMovie09. I've tried two new cameras with AVCHD and both caused this to happen although the problem looked slightly different depending on the camera.

Just curious, does your camera do AVCHD? I'd imagine a fix in like what... 4 months?

No AVCHD here, just a simple little flip mino doing MPEG4. Can you point me to a link somewhere that describes this as a bug that Apple is aware of.
