iMovie 09 No Sound From Built In Mic

Hi guys,

I'm trying to record a short video using iMovie 09 . I've set up my sound preferences to caputure sound from the built in mic on my Macbook Pro but iMovie doesn't seem to be able to pick it up. Any ideas?
