iMovie (10.1.2) Broken on macOS Sierra (10.12)?

Hi all. I am trying to use iMovie (10.1.2) on my Sierra (10.12) machine. So I'm having lots of difficulty dragging and dropping files in, but most frustratingly, every single time I try to export a video the app crashes. Is anyone else having this issue? I rely on this application to export YouTube videos for my podcast network. Ugh! Could really use a workaround. I guess it serves me right for upgrading prior to a point release like 10.12.1...
