Hi everyone,
I'm using a MBP retina 13" and iMovie 10 to import video from an old DV camera. iMovie 'knows' whenever the camera's record button is pushed and subsequently imports video in little clips, rather than as one video from the point of pressing 'import'.
Here's the rub: since iMovie 10 doesn't allow one to change export settings, it's not appropriate for me to put all these clips together and just 'share' into a file (this messes up the dimensions and anyway, I want to do some compressing before I put them all together).
Does anyone know if there's a way to STOP iMovie importing this way? Or alternatively if there are any alternative (free) programs that can offer this service? I'm generally awe-struck by the limited user control offered by iMovie 10 (!)
Thanks!
Chris
