iMovie 11 -5 hour time difference with iPhoto clips

I have a completed iMovie 11 project. Events used in project are from iPhoto Videos. Time stamps are correct in iPhoto, but in iMovie they are all off by 5 hours (behind). I exported the project to desktop before I realized this error in the date/time title I applied at varying points throughout the finished project. I went back into the project in iMovie 11, adjusted the clip date and time for those clips that had the date/time title attached to them. Everything appeared good in the preview window in iMovie 11 after adjusting, but when I exported at the same size as before the date and time were still wrong in the completed export. When I close iMovie 11 and open it again, all my date and time adjustments are not saved. Any ideas as to how to repair the -5 hour time reporting difference between iMovie 11 and iPhoto? Is there a way to reset shared projects for exporting without having to redo the entire project?
