I almost lost my mind this morning until I realized it's not just me, many people are having this issue:

I cannot edit ANY titles in this garbage imovie 11 maverick version. I cannot change the font, the color, NOTHING. Apple says SOME titles can't be altered but I can't alter ANY title. I'm THISSSSS close to plowing down $300 to get FCP.

How utterly UTTERLY insane that apple will not let me edit my title and everything will look like everyone else's. W. T. F. is going on :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

So let me get this straight - I can't edit the Standard title but I can edit "upper"

WOW
I think it is the same as before. Only on certain title frames can you change the font, size and color. If the font editor bar is ghosted out, than you cannot adjust.

actually many people (on the apple forum) are saying that they cannot edit titles they did before with all their other videos in the previous version.

Many missing Features!

Not only is there a problem with the font editing, but adding chapter markers, Changing the length of transitions globally, etc. are missing. I record school concerts to assist the instructors in the classroom. I like using chapter markers for each piece to reduce their time navigating the DVD. Gone! I think I have to bring the whole thing (1-2 hrs) into Garageband to add chapters, like I did in imovie 9. ?

Also, I used to be able to compress each chapter down to about 1 1/2 inches long, allowing to add transitions and [chapters?] in short order. Now I hit the open space on the slider bar and hope that the next song is showing to place the one transition in, forget placing the chapter marker.

I changed the 1st transition on a concert from the standard 1 second to 4 seconds (by dragging the arrows), but subsequent transitions only allowed me to drag from 1 second to less than 1 second, and the real kicker is they will not even provide a place to type in a time constraint or apply a new time length to all transitions. Folks this is really messed up, and really irritating for someone with a chore that they have been doing for 9 years.
