iMovie 11 Trailer Question

I may be missing the point of the trailer in the new version. After you create a trailer is it intended to be inserted into a movie project, or is the trailer a stand alone project? If it's intended to be inserted do you complete the trailer then insert it into another project? Thanks!

I thought it would be used at the beginning of a bigger movie project...guess not. If it's just a quick novelty movie, I'm not sure how I'd ever use it..?

You could use it to promote a larger movie... just like "real" movie trailers do...

my question is, can you change the number of casts in the trailers or is it not adjustable?

I regard them as new fun themes for your home (ho,holiday, birthday, outdoor event) videos. A kind of "pimp my home video", that offers a bit more than the "traditional" themes.

But of course, you might also use them as a preview to a bigger movie project...
