iMovie 6.0.4 and Canon HV20

Ok, I realize I'm a few years behind the times here but, I am using iMovie v. 6.0.4 and trying to import footage from my Canon HV20 via firewire cable.

iMovie does not recognize the camera.

Any ideas how to import the footage?
