iMovie 6 import problem

I tried to import a .mod converted (in Streamclip) .dv file into iMovie 6 but
received the following error:
The file could not be imported: The file “Macintosh HD/Users/alix/Movies/MOV03A.dv” can’t be imported; QuickTime couldn’t parse it: -39

any help importing my video files would be a great help!

Import MPEG 4 files

While I was waiting for a reply, I kept doing research (all of which said
to import .dv files into imovie) and trying different formats. Turns out the
mpeg 4 conversion/import works.

Hopefully this will help any other folks as woefully behind in this process
as I am.
