imovie 6 offsetting image, need help

I'm attempting to make myself a "directors cut" of the Hulk from my DVD. I Have ripped the main movie from the DVD using Handbreak on the itv setting. When I import the m4v file in to imovie on any of the wide screen settings it off sets the image to the right. If I use DV it streches the image tall. Anyone have any suggestions?

Rerip your DVD and save it in 16:9 DV format, not mpeg4 and see if that helps.
