As I understand it, from Apple's iLife page and various reviews, iMovie '08 uses a library, which allows you to organise your movies in the same way as iPhoto and iTunes.

Can you 'share' your iMovie '08 library, in the same way you can share your iTunes and iPhoto library?

I am wondering the same thing. It'd be nice to push the project to another Mac to handle some of the burning job when making multiple copies.

As it turns out iMovie can 'share' a movie project with iTunes, which can then be shared that way. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a way to simply import some video footage, which is automatically made available in the same way Music is with iTunes and Pics are with iPhoto.

In iMovie you actually have to create a project and then add the content to that project, before exporting a share copy to iTunes. It's long winded, particularly with short clips, but they still look good on iPod and :apple:TV.
