In my beginner's experience of the most recent iMovie version, it seems impossible to merge two different projects into a single one.
Among others, I have a "Holiday" project (1) and a "Family" project (2) running and I need to import project 1 into 2, without giving up this Holiday-project on which I'm still working with more events from various years to bring in.
Neither the help-function of iMovie itself, or some books I consulted, give any explanation on this.
Do I miss something, though?

I Just tried this and is seems the good old COPY & PASTE will do partly the job :

1: Go to the project that you want to import or join in the second project
2: Do a SELECT ALL
3: COPY
4: go to the project where you want to insert your other project
5: choose the insertion point
6: PASTE, and you're good to go

Limitation : It seems that PIP and CUTAWAY, titles... are not copied. If you've used this, i suggest adding markers to simplify the copy and paste of these items.

Another thing would be to create a movie of first project and to import this one in your second project...

De Rocca,
Thanks a lot: your tip did the trick; I only lost one title.
iMovie's help-function should have have mentioned it, though. Hopefully Apple will pick up your trick. I keep it 'bookmarked'.

Correction: even the title was kept; it was only moved some clips further.
