I don't want to use iMovie due to large file size after export and we video costs money. Is media.io the best free online video editor/maker?

You can adjust the quality/size in iMovie, choose Low or Custom and drag the slider all the way down.

HandBrake has more presets

All I need is a video compiler so I can put together a few videos and export them.at 1080p high quality and download at a size under 8gb. The videos are 7gb when file sizes are added together but it ended up being 30gb in iMovie which is way way too big.

Never mind about media.io. Although it can do all the things I need and more, the max file size is 100mb which is way too small for a 3gb video. I'm not paying for some stupid online video editor :)
