I was out last night on the lash, and i thought, what a great chance to really test out what the iPhone 4 can do, with photos / videos / music and iMovie.

The following video was recorded / photographed and edited on an iPhone 4 with iMovie, while very drunk.

I uploaded it this morning, as the resulting 720p video was 200MB :)

They asked Stan Getz, the great sax player:
"Stan, how can you play drunk?"
"Easy", Stan said.
"I practice drunk."

Until iMovie has a simple splice tooL this app is useless to me.

If you are refering to splitting up a preexisting video into multiple elements in the timeline, then yes i agree. this is a much wanted feature on my part.

however, you can trim videos, which is better than nothing :)

I exported my iMovie made film to my phone's camera roll at the highest quality then exported it to YouTube and the video quality is crap... How did you get yours to be so relatively hi-res?

Yeah. Cutting out a clip from a movie is a necessity. If you just want to string together a couple of clips then I guess it has its purpose.

Once Reeldirector updates to support HD output it will blow this out of the water.

This is because iOS compresses it before uploading the video (d'oh!)

To fix the issue, I simply plugged my iphone into the computer, and uploaded the uploaded 720p file directly via youtube.com/upload.

Yeah, without a split tool and a way to zoom the timeline/rearrange clips on the timeline it's like editing on old reel to reel systems......

Also, after droppinig an audio track on it automatically moves to the next song on the album when you run out. No way to add a different track after the first that I can see. If you make trim adjustments at the end to get the video to time it ripples the audio down so you don't know when it really ends. You have to edit by TRT then drop the track in.

The App feels about half done, rushed to be ready for the phone's release.

Reeldirector looks awesome!

Its a classic apple move. We'll give you this now, but there is much more to come...

That was an EXCELLENT video man! I can't wait to take my iPhone out and record all the drunken shenanigans my friends and I have. Very nice!!!
