iMovie and PC DVD burner

Hey all. I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with a problem I have.

I just got an ibook, haven't got a chance to play with it though becuase its at my parents house. But I would like to do my video editing on the iBook. However, I still have a great PC with a DVD burner. I would like to make the movies on my iBook (which outputs in quicktime) and then be able to transfer and burn them on my PC. The new Nero doesn't take quicktime and from what I have read, the conversion process from quicktime to mpg or avi is sketchy at best. So I figured that there HAS to be SOMEONE out there that has had my problem, and maybe you guys know them (or are them) and could give me some good suggestions.

Compressor ( bundled with final cut / dvd studio ) can make "legal" MPEG-2, and AC3 files.

The PC Authoring program (haven't used Nero) should accept these "legal" file's.

Adobe Encore will accept the file created in Compressor. You may be able to purchase
it separately from Apple.
