Hi

A couple of questions...

I used iMovie to edit a bunch of interview clips, knowing that later I would have to fix an exposure problem (I couldn't figure out how to override the camera's auto-exposure setting, so the exposure is set for the background, and not the interview subject). Now it's later. In Editing / VideoFX when I do add special effects (I thought I would start by trying 'gamma adjust'), the effect is supposed to show in the iMovie monitor. That way I can preview to see if I like the effect, before hitting 'apply'. But no matter which effect I select, the clip plays, with no effect at all. How do I get the effect to 'take'?

It's supposed to be easy to open an iMovie project with Final Cut Pro. But in FCP when I choose 'File / Open', the dialog box appears and I select an iMovie project, instead of opening, I get '! File Error: Wrong type.' Why? The only thing I can think of is if it is a version issue - FCP is version 4.0. My MacBook Pro is new, so iMovie is version 6.0.3. It seems that it would run an older FCP version, though? The only way around it I can think of is perhaps if I transfer iMovie project to Quicktime, and try opening the Quicktime file in FCP, but I don't know if I will run into more problems this way.

I would hugely appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks
Lisa
