iMovie Crashes

I make a couple of movies a year using iMovie HD/iDVD. The version is 5.0.2 The application continuously closes/crashes after downloading clips from a DV camcorder. Any ideas on how to fix this problem.

My system is a Mac G4 (933) with 1.5 GB SDRAM. OS is 10.4.11 (Tiger)
