Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro, bought last October, Mac OS X version 10.6.8

I have imovie 09 installed and everything works great apart from when I click on 'Transitions' it stalls, crashes and then closes imovie. I've looked all over google and other people have reported the same problem but without any fixes.

Can anyone help me please?!!

Many thanks in advance

imovie crashes

i have the same problem, imovie works fine untill i try to open transition browser. program then freezes.

Try deleting the iMovie preference(.plist) files in Home Folder>Library>Preferences.

You also might like to consider upgrading to iMovie11 for it's much better audio editing.

Hi,

Yes tried that also as someone was having the same issue on another forum & someone said to delete the plist. I also went to disk utility and repaired permissions. Still the same thing. Have searched every forum but noone has come up with a solution yet.

I found a slight work around transition crash problem. By duplicating a project, deleting what I don't need adding what I do and leaving existing transitions in place I can copy and paste existing transitions. To my new project unfortunately I also can still no longer import jpegs. Apple you hurt us so.
