I recently reformatted my macbook and reinstalled everything using my leopard discs that came with my laptop. After I was finished everything seemed fine, and I installed all of the software updates that were found. I noticed though that after I installed all the updates, iMovie was mysteriously gone from my laptop. I know for a fact that it was there after the reinstall because I remember seeing the dock icon. Now it's not only gone from the dock, but it's not in the application list either. I can reinstall it from my leopard dvd's, but I'm wondering why it was uninstalled in the first place. Anyone know?

iMovie is not part of the OS. Put your restore DVD/CDs in and use the "Additional Software" installer to install the non-OS software that came with your machine.

I get that... My question was why was it there when I first reformatted, but went away after installing the first round of software updates.
