Hi all, glad to be on the forum. I am currently holding a gun to a copy of imovie HD 5. Basically, I went through common problem with letterboxing and pillarboxing, followed the advice on the forum, and switched off the auto pillarboxing in preferences. All was well for a while. I'm in DV widescreen mode, and using footage from a sony Z1.
For some reason, imovie is now importing some footage in fullscreen (no black borders at all), which looks correct proportionally, and others with borders on the sides. It's driving me nuts as there is nothing I can see that makes the footage files different. Any ideas?
