imovie export can not be played on ipad

Hi,

I have created an iMovie project. Every time i export it and try to load the movie onto my iPad, I get an iTune error saying the movie can not be played on my iPad and therefore was not copied. I tried to export using .mov and .mpeg formats and tried loading on my iPad via Movies and iPhoto. Neither won't copy. BUT, when exported movie is in iTunes, i can play the movie via shared library with ZERO issues. What is the problem?
