iMovie Export/Compression Help!!!!!

Hello,
I have made two movies: One with iMovie HD and one with iMovie '08.
They are both in 1080i HD.
When I make them, they end up being like 6-9 gb!!!!!!
How can I make them much smaller, maybe 2-4 gb?
Is there a compression way like ZIP or certain export settings?
