Hi all..

I'm using the latest iMovie, however when exporting as SD, the aspect ratio seems strange..... The final result, is it looks like its zoomed in and chopped off at the top and sides.

My understanding is since iMovie has three options (the fourth one HD 1080 is greyed out in my case), and even though the user chooses to export as SD, i think iMovie still has 16:9, and it just chops of the sides (black bars), and zooms in. The result .....it's chopped at the top, and everything looks bigger.

The original imported content looks fine, and even in iMovie preview looks fine, its only when exporting to a file at SD 480P (854x480) that doesn't look right.

The original is : 768x556..

What's going on ?

I have the same problem and unfortunately had no reply on the apple forum site either. I hope you get a reply
Cheers Ian
