So, as everyone knows, no one likes the space that the digital video takes up in IMovie. My question is different though:
I've been practicing, doing some movie previews on my Macbook Pro. I convert the dvd file to a .AVI and import it into IMovie. Imovie then makes the file into a 10-20 gig monster. No big whoop.
However, the preveiws I make, with a couple of subtitles or voice overs never go over 6 minutes. Why is the file still like 20 gigs in size? After I've deleted all of the unnessessary clips and sounds and such, and I'm left with 6 minutes of footage, shouldn't it just dump the rest of the clips in the trash, delete them and the file goes down in size?
