iMovie for iPhone 4 Released Into App Store

Apple has released their version of iMovie [App Store] into the App Store. The new App is $4.99 and requires an iPhone 4.
Make beautiful HD movies anywhere with iMovie, the fun, feature-rich video editing app for iPhone 4. Create a video postcard of your day at the beach and publish it to the web -- without ever leaving your spot in the sand. Apple introduced the App during the WWDC keynote, and has since confirmed an iPhone 4 is required. We suspect the requirement is due to the faster processor and more RAM that the iPhone 4 uniquely offers.

The reception issue regardless if it is hardware or software based, can be easily fixed:

1) If hardware based, then a bumper or case will solve the skin to metal contact issue
2) If software based, then an update / fix will solve the problem

The concern however isn't the reception issue, but rather the yellowing screen issue, which will certainly put a damper when one is trying to edit a movie on iMovie for iPhone...!

Bummer that you can't run this on a 3GS. While I know I don't have enough RAM for editing 720p video, it seems like they might have been able to make it work for the video I can record. Oh well... Have to wait for my refresh date in January... At least I got iOS 4.
 
Yes! I was looking for this earlier today, but didn't realize it was supposed to come out tomorrow. Then I saw the news. Downloading now. This should be awesome.
 
Getting now, excited to see how well the iPhone works on my next business trip for shooting a short video, editing in iMovie, and posting to YouTube all from a freaking phone - thanks for the news!

Wtf. Why isnt it showing in the app store for me? What am i missing? Is it only in itunes on a computer? I got my ip4 but i cant find it at all. Even searched

Don't read in to what the vocal minority are complaining about. My phone as well as the handful of coworkers and my girlfriends are working flawlessly.

It appears that is the case. I just got it in iTunes and sync'd it over. Its awesome.

Exactly this blogosphere crap is really annoying. So 50-100 ppl out of a million or whatever have a screen issue. All electronics, Apple included, run ~5% failure rate. Also, I'm getting better 3G and wifi reception with my iPhone 4 than with the previous rigs. Nothing to see here folks, move along and enjoy the new handset.
 
Thank you for the news! I'm planning on buying it next week, totally excited. This would be perfect for ID4 and this party on July 11th. Aaah!! CANT WAIT. :D
 
Very excited ab this app. Been looking for it over the past few hours. Glad to see apple is getting smart and releasing thing gradually.
This is a basic app but with much potential. East to use and so smart. Just played with it for a few minutes and I love it! Worth the money.
 
Hmm. If only you could choose the section of a song to use from your iTunes library for the sound track. It seems to always want to go from the start without being able to trim. Is there an owner's manual for this app? Haha.
 
It's still a bummer that the 3GS doesn't get any love. Sure, it has less memory and slower processor, but you will only be editing VGA movies on the 3GS anyway, not HD, so I don't see why it's not doable.
 
For those of you who have the 3GS, just wait for some hacker to make it work with the 3GS. Of course, you'll need to jailbreak. It'll be just like multitasking and background wallpaper support some hacker hacked in for 3GSs. That being said, I'm gonna wait in line for the 2 iPhone 4s at Walmart. I've already downloaded this lol. :D
