iMovie from iPad to iMac

I have started an iMovie project in iMovie on the iPad. i now want to import to my iMac to finish it off. What is the best way to do this? it seems to import it like its a finished project but i want it importing exactly how it is etc

I have done this one from my iPhone I think you need an iTunes to transfer your iPad iMovie project to iMac iMovie project folder. You can finish it on iMac.
