Hello. I am a novice at this and hoping for a simple fix. I have made a movie on iMovie 06 in 16:9. I burned it to DVD using iDVD 08 (also 16:9). When I play it on a DVD player connected to a 4:3 television set, it's letterboxed, but the sides are cut of a bit. I would like the movie to be viewable on both HD sets as well as older 4:3 sets. Here is what I have tried so far:
  • I double-checked that my DVD player's display settings have been set up correctly as "4:3: letterbox"
  • I have double-checked that the movie plays correctly on my computer's DVD player.

I am considering making a separate DVD for folks with 4:3 sets by exporting the movie then importing it into a 4:3 iMovie. It's a gift and will be given to about 20 families, some who have an HD set and some (like me) who still have a 4:3 set. Would it be possible to have both versions of the movie (they are only 20 minutes) on the same DVD, one that's 16:9 and one that's 4:3?

Thanks in advance for your help.
