i've been using imovie 08 for some basic editing but i just downloaded imovie hd to take advantage of its features. i've looked all over and can't seem to find if imovie hd has an option to edit movies in 16:8 ratio instead of 4:3. If so, where can i access this option? Thanks for the help yall.

Assuming you do mean 16:9, then when you open iMovie HD and select the "Create a New Project" button, you're then asked to name your new project and select a video format: DV widescreen (standard defintion) and both of the HDV options (for high definition video) are designed for 16:9 editing.

The format you select for your iMovie project should match the format of your source video, in which case the next logical question is: What format is your source video?

Andrew.
