OS 10.4.11, the 2006 white MacBook with the Intel Processor, 1 GB memory.
I usually have between 10 and 25GB available on my hard drive, and I'm working with a lot of videos right now, using iMovie HD 6. To save the projects I've completed in case I need to edit them later and to keep memory available on the laptop, I copied some projects over an Ethernet network to my Dell desktop. The original files on my Macbook I deleted, and I emptied the trash since the whole point was to clear space.
When I moved one project back onto my laptop today the project opened up just fine except it said that it couldn't find the clips! I also can't find them, darn it all. This is about 2 weeks of work, so I'd love to find out if they are floating somewhere on either computer.
Further evidence the clips are just gone: when I moved them from the Mac to the PC the Project was close to 5GB; it is now only 600KB. If the answer is just "They're gone, man- let it go", that's cool. I'd like to hear it from someone who knows, though, so I don't keep looking around.
Any answer will be appreciated. Thanks!
