Ok, I'm using my iSight to record video blogs and little movies for my own use, how can I use an external microphone when recording these videos instead of using the internal mic. When I use the internal mic, the audio is way too quiet. I need to get something closer to the action, not bring the action closer to the mic....

How can I do this?

Thanks fellas!

same problem

im having the same problem i cant seem to record audio from my external mic in imovie. it always uses the built in mic even thought in my system preferences ive selected my external mic as well as turn the input volume of the built in mic all the way down. any help would be really appreciated, all i want to be able to do is record videos of me playing guitar etc. with imovie, but use my external mic (zoom h2) to record the sound........ thanks
